TILE OF SPAIN RESUMES PRODUCTION
Since 10 April, the Spanish ceramic tile industry has been gradually resuming work after stopping production activity, following the restrictions set by the Spanish Government to tackle the spread of Covid-19. During this period, the Spanish ceramic tile manufacturers have continued to meet their customers' needs and the international orders dispatch times.
The Spanish ceramic tile companies are adopting strict measures and security controls to protect the health and safety of all workers. These measures can be found in a document, ratified by ASCER (the Spanish Ceramic Tile Manufacturers’ Association) and the main trade union organisations, which reflects the high concern for preserving the wellbeing of all workers against Covid-19, especially in the current situation.
Tile of Spain companies are present in more than 180 countries all over the world and their commitment is to keep meeting their client and customer needs with the same quality and service guaranteed by the Spanish ceramic tile industry in international markets.
Although the Spanish ceramic tile industry understands the importance of taking the measures needed to reduce the health crisis, it is also important to maintain the employment rate in the sector. Currently, the Spanish ceramic tile industry faces a difficult time in the coming months regarding the recovery of the economic activity as well as the national and international market demand.
