W.B. Simpson & Sons (Midlands) Ltd scored two successes at this year’s TTA Awards night.
“The TTA Awards are the most prestigious accolades achievable in the tiling industry, so I’m delighted that we have received good recognition once again,” said Managing Director Anthony Parrott. “I would like to add my congratulations to Alfie and all those involved in the amazing Three Snow Hill project.”
Alfie Hill won Trainee Tile Fixer of the Year and also won a special prize donated by Pro Tiler Tools. Alfie joined W.B. Simpson & Sons (Midlands) Ltd in 2020 as an apprentice tiler, where he quickly showed he was a keen and adaptable learner. The company has been confident enough in his ability to use Alfie on some of the most prestigious projects it has been working on. He has an excellent attitude to work, colleagues and clients, and shows he has natural ability. The company is confident that he will develop into a highly skilled tiler and Alfie is now also going to represent the industry at SkillBuild this year.
Meanwhile the company also won a ‘Highly Commended’ award in the ‘Best Commercial Project – Large’ Category for Three Snow Hill. This is an ultra-modern 17-storey 38,000 sqm office building. Works to Cat A Base Build, landlord fit-out and major Cat B fit-out for BT Regional Hub were completed respectively by BAM Construction Ltd, ADT Workplace Ltd and Overbury plc.
Previously involved in the One and Two Snow Hill projects, WB Simpsons (Midlands) were proud to have carried out tiling works on this prestigious development, completed to the satisfaction of both contractor and client.
